Forestry Mowing is an environmentally responsible way to clear your land of small trees and begin the process of eliminating invasive species. The forestry mower cuts down trees and brush less than 6" in diameter (using a FECON brand grinder) then leaves the shredded mulch on the forest floor. This layer acts as erosion control by preventing the top layer of soil from washing away. In addition the mulch decomposes over time, slowly releasing Nitrogen back in the soil which trees need to grow, acting as natural fertilizer.
The mower can clear land at costs HALF that of hand cutting methods and in much less time. There is no hauling or burning that would result from conventional clearing. By using forestry mowing there are less steps involved as it eliminates the need for a bulldozer, tree sheerer, wood chippper/grinder, etc.
